Male Andropause
As men age their hormones decline. From mid 30’s testosterone levels can decline up to 1% per year. Unlike the menopause where the ovaries cease to function resulting in symptoms, men experience a gradual decline in hormones which can make it harder to recognise the symptoms.
Common symptoms:
Loss of libido and difficulty getting and maintaining erections, insomnia, increased body fat, low energy, decreased muscle mass, fatigue, mood swings, irritability and poor memory and concentration
Treatment:
Testosterone and DHEA
